World Music Day

Celebrated on Friday 21st June each year

World Music Day is a day on which the world celebrates the powerful gift of music. The Fête de la Musique, as it was first know, began in France and has since become a worldwide phenomenon with over 32 countries worldwide having their own celebrations. World Music Day is a wonderful opportunity for School2Schooler's to learn about the world music, particularly the sounds and musical influences of their international partner.

STAR4Africa's Country Anthem Showcase

School2School pupil’s are asked to create a band, to showcase their country's anthem to their partner school. Building on what they have learned from World Environment Day 2012, schools are asked to use recycled materials to produce upcycled musical instruments. The Country Anthem Showcase will be captured via voice and/or video recording (where possible) and shared between partners. We look forward to what these creative minds will produce!
